IHCDA’s CreatINg Places Doubles Your Support for Monon 16
Recently, we announced that in 2017, we will be partnering with the local theater community to reimagine the Monon 16 neighborhood as it ought to be—equitable, vibrant and just. And thanks to a new initiative of the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority (IHCDA), our fundraising for this initiative is getting quite a boost!
According to the website, “CreatINg Places aims to help generate public involvement in the selection of creative improvements within their own communities, help provide the funding to see the project through to completion, and instill community pride when citizens become invested in their surroundings.”

In partnership with the civic crowdfunding platform Patronicity.com, CreatINg Places focuses on creative projects that seek to activate or develop underused public and community spaces.
Making an online donation (here) is a quick and easy way to show your support for Monon 16. And with IHCDA’s $50,000 match, we can begin to engage actors and neighbors in site specific and interactive performance to “pre-enact” a new, vibrant commercial corridor that serves as hope for the future.
We hope you will join the effort and help spread the word on social media using the hashtag #PreEnactIndy.
