Good Neighbors

by cgindy

When neighbors, Joe and Julie Whitsett completed the renovation of their stunning home, we were more than a little curious to see the finished product. The former taxicab company building that we share a parking lot with had been nothing but a shell without even a roof for many years.

See it, we did as they have opened their home to us for the past two years to host our annual holiday party. The transformation of this space is nothing short of spectacular, and provided a warm and inviting space where we could gather and celebrate.

This year, we decided to thank the Whitsetts for their hospitality with a song. Singer/songwriter resident Doug Enas wrote and recorded “Thank You Song” to help us to show our appreciation for the warmth extended by our generous neighbors across the lot! We’re grateful for their presence in our Old Northside neighborhood.
